Kindergarten, Here We Come!

Banana's Families,

It is hard to believe that we are three weeks away from the end of our school year and our Banana friends will be off to Kindergarten before we know it! Over the last couple of weeks we have been talking about our upcoming transition to Kindergarten and these friends are SO EXCITED!!!! We learned the names of our new school, talked about some things that we are excited for in kindergarten and some of the things that make us feel nervous or scared, and we have practiced some of the skills needed in kindergarten, like packing our bags up at the end of the day. The friends used the blocks in the block center to design and build their elementary schools, used watercolor paint to create their kindergarten classroom or elementary school, and created an "All About Me" sheet to give to their new teacher, so the teacher will have a better understanding of their likes and dislikes! We also continued to practice many of our early learning skills that we will use in kindergarten, like identifying numbers, letters, shapes, counting, and cutting!

We have loved this warm weather and spent a couple of days exploring and playing in our sensory garden!

Next week we will begin our final theme for the year and will learn about Summer!
We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
